Call it the most disappointing $16 billion raised in investment history.

Facebook stock is off to a rocky start after its highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO), jumping more than 10 percent in the first few minutes of trading before sellers swept into the market and that gain evaporated.

“The stock is trading right at the IPO price,” one expert told the L.A. Times. “They didn’t want that in a million years. A traditional IPO is up 10% or 15%.”

The stock most recently hovered at about $40, only $2 above what shares were priced at late Thursday. Shares touched $38 multiple times during trading.

Investors also had to deal with a nearly three-hour delay for the stock to open. The Nasdaq kept the stock halted as it processed a crush of buy and sell orders.

The inauspicious opening after the Facebook IPO suggests that retail investors paid close attention to reports of soft financials and big selling by insiders.

Still, Facebook raised $16 billion in what will go down as the third-largest public offering in U.S. history and the biggest ever for a technology company.

Could be worse, right? Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg rang the Nasdaq opening bell from company headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif.

Eduardo Saverin, one of the company’s co-founders, made news this week by giving up U.S. citizenship as a means of limiting his tax liability.

Raven-Symoné has taken to Twitter to address a National Enquirer report that she is gay. The tabloid published a story this week that the “Sister Act” star is currently dating “America’s Next Top Model” contestant, AzMarie Livingston, and that they are living together in New York City.

According to sources, “Raven has lost almost 30 pounds, has done a whole image makeover, and now she is the star of ‘Sister Act’ on Broadway. She’s at a point now where she doesn’t care what her family thinks, and she’s in love with AzMarie. She’s a lesbian and wants to live that way.”

The tabloid further reports that the 26-year-old’s family does not approve of her lifestyle, however, “she told her parents she loves them, but her home — especially her bedroom — is nobody’s business, and she was not going to back down, so they needed to accept it, period.”

While Raven-Symoné neither confirmed nor denied the speculation on Friday, when she took to Twitter to open up about the rumor, she did make it clear that whatever she does in her personal life is her business.

“I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest,” she tweeted. “I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. and I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”

She continued that “however that is my right as a HUMAN BEing whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!”

The “American Idol” finale is set, and Joshua Ledet didn’t get an invite.

Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez will compete in next week’s season finale after Ledet was voted off the show Thursday (May 17). Ledet, the 20-year-old from Westlake, Louisiana, who was continually praised as one of the best contestants to ever grace the “Idol” stage, received the lowest number of votes from the 90 million votes cast, according to “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest.

Ledet set a record for standing ovations from the judges this season on “Idol”; barely a week went by when he didn’t get the judges on their feet after one of his stellar performances. Ledet performed James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” at the close of the show Thursday, repeating a song that became one of his signature moments.

Show mentor Jimmy Iovine took partial blame for Ledet’s performance Wednesday, saying by choosing Mary J. Blige’s “No More Drama,” he didn’t give him a song with enough of a melody to captivate the audience and generate votes. “There was something missing, and I know it was the material. In fairness, I gave him a song that didn’t have enough melody. Joshua needs melody, [and] I take 100 percent responsibility for that,” Iovine said.

Still, he thought Ledet deserved to compete for the “Idol” crown next week. “Does Joshua belong in this finale? 100 percent, he should be in anyone’s finale,” he said.

Ledet’s elimination gives Sanchez a shot at being the first female “Idol” winner since Jordin Sparks back in season six. At the onset of the season, it was said to be the women’s year on “Idol,” and four of the top six contestants were female. But three women were picked off in a row — Elise Testone, then Skylar Laine, then Hollie Cavanagh — threatening the show’s girl-power contingent. Now Sanchez is carrying the torch for the ladies.

Iovine, in summing up Wednesday’s performances, also blamed himself for picking a bad song for Sanchez, but said Phillips won the night with his version of Bob Seger’s “We’ve Got Tonight.” “Hands down, it was the best performance he’s done in the entire contest,” he said, calling it “flawless.” (In fairness, Iovine also said Phillips’ version of Matchbox Twenty’s “Disease” was “a total snooze-fest.”

Regarding Sanchez, Iovine said, “She has to have the most magical moment she’s had so far” in order to win it all. “If she gets in the finale,” he said, “It’s about the songs.”

Before Ledet’s elimination, Jackson said the final contestants were “three of the best we’ve ever had” and said all three have “big careers” ahead of them.

Also on Thursday’s show, Adam Lambert dropped by to perform “Never Close Our Eyes,” and Lisa Marie Presley (huh?) performed her new single “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet.”

Rohan Marley, the son of reggae legend Bob Marley and ex of Lauryn Hill, has gotten engaged to Brazilian Sports Illustrated model Isabeli Fontana.

Fontana said the couple plans to wed in Ethiopia, where the Rastafarian movement was founded. According to Contact Music, she told Veja magazine:

“Rohan told me we have to return to the roots so the marriage will last forever.”

Fontana, 28, has been divorced twice, to model Alvaro Jacomossi and actor/model Henri Castelli. The model has a son from each of those marriages.

Marley, 39, dated former Fugees singer Lauryn Hill, 36, from 1996-2011.

Hill often referred to him as her husband, though their relationship status was never revealed until they broke up. The couple had five children together.

He also has two children from his previous relationship with Geraldine Khawly, who he married during college and was still married to when he met Hill.

He made headlines last year when it was reported that Marley left Hill for Fontana while Hill was pregnant with another child, allegedly to another man.

“Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us,” Hill said, refuting that rumor.

Usher sat down for an exclusive “MTV First” interview about his hotly anticipated upcoming release, Looking 4 Myself, his unconventional album-listening experience with the off-Broadway show “Fuerza Bruta” and to give fans a first listen to the Myself track “Twisted” featuring Pharrell. He told MTV News’ Sway Calloway the song is a “nostalgic record” that reflects the album’s ambitious aim to represent the variety of musical experiences that have impacted the R&B superstar.

” ‘Twisted’ is more of a nostalgic record, so when you think about the classic R&B record, we managed a way to modernize it, even though that’s very relevant,” the singer said. “You hear records like Cee Lo, you hear Bruno Mars and also Andre 3000, and that sound is very relevant in this time. So this was kind of our way to tie it all together and give you something different that you probably wouldn’t normally get from me.”

Adapting current sounds and making them his own is a theme Usher is bringing in earnest to Looking 4 Myself and also reflects his philosophy of how to stay in the game. The star released his self-titled debut in 1994, when he was just 16, and has gone on to sell over 65 million records worldwide and score nine #1 songs and six more top 10 hits.

As for how he’s managed to stay on top for so long, Usher revealed that it’s important to never be insular when it comes to music. “Life is a workout, man, it’s like a treadmill, and you gotta be with it, you gotta just stay with it,” he said. “For me, I’ve had the fortunate ability to always be mindful of other things and other people. I’m not so caught up in what I’m doing that I can’t be cognizant of what other people enjoy. … Now, I think music should be used as a channel to really allow people to have different experiences. So, this album is all about bottling up those different experiences.”

The connecting tissue that’s given Usher the ability to explore world music — from full-on dance tracks like his new single “Scream” and his collaboration with David Guetta, “Without You,” to more classic R&B slow jams like “Climax” and the old-school spare drum beat of “Twisted” — while delivering cohesive records has been his voice, which he said brings “the essence of soul and emotion” to each record.

“All of my career is kind of an unveiling, an unfolding story, and it ain’t done. There’s so much more that I’m going to do, so much that I’ve now just been interested in and been introduced to,” he continued. “I just want that experience of having this very monogamous relationship with entertainment and acting in a way where I can really, really focus and become better.”

Usher’s commitment to tackling the changing face of music head-on and forging new roads in entertainment as he matures — he is currently training for a Sugar Ray Leonard biopic — is the key to his success, he said, concluding, “It’s all about evolution for me.”

The ups and downs that come with growing up and being a young parent have captivated viewers of MTV’s “Teen Mom” for three seasons, but the upcoming fourth season, which premieres with two back-to-back episodes June 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, will be the last to feature the original cast — Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell.

While the televised story of these four young mothers, who first shared their stories in the first season of “16 and Pregnant,” and their struggle to navigate their teens and early twenties with toddlers in tow is coming to a close, the franchise will continue, with premiere dates for “Teen Mom 2″ and “Teen Mom 3″ to be announced at a later date.

“We’re incredibly thankful to these young women for bravely sharing their stories with our audience to help make an impact on teen pregnancy prevention,” said Lauren Dolgen, MTV’s senior vice president of series development. “This season will be an intense rollercoaster as we say goodbye to the cast who started it all — since the first season of ’16 and Pregnant,’ millions have tuned in to see the difficulties, joys and sorrows these young mothers have faced.”

The final season of “Teen Mom” promises to be as captivating as those that preceded it as Farrah strives for independence, moving with her daughter Sophia to Florida, Catelynn and her fiancé Tyler near graduation and continue to deal with the impact of their decision to put their daughter up for adoption, Amber is overwhelmed by her emotional struggles and turbulent relationship with Gary and enters rehab and Maci tries to strike a co-parenting balance with her ex Ryan while trying to move on with new boyfriend Kyle.

The truth is, anyone’s name could have been called to head home from ABC’s hit show “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday night and it would have been a shock.

On Monday night, most of the contestants scored well with the judges. Although opera singer Katherine Jenkins has been a top performer on the show all season, she made a few missteps in one of her Monday night performances — and subsequently beat herself up about it. So folks may not have been too surprised to hear her name called as this week’s eliminated dancer.

Instead, it was one of the night’s top scorers who got the boot.

It ultimately came down to TV journalist Maria Menounos and her partner Derek Hough and NFL star Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd.

Menounos was the one to go, despite having a near-perfect score on Monday night. The judges salivated over the Argentine tango she performed as her first dance, rewarding her with perfect 10s all around. For her second performance, she took on the jive, and the judges actually named her the winner of the night — and possibly the competition itself.

When her name was called Tuesday night, Menounos said, “I learned so many things — how strong I was, to persevere … I want to thank everyone here. I want to thank Derek and my family and everyone who voted for us.”

Next week, the remaining three celebrities — Latin heartthrob William Levy and his partner Cheryl Burke, Driver and Murgatroyd, and Jenkins and Mark Ballas will compete for the mirror ball trophy.

Hov announced in November 2010 that he signed Elect to his budding Roc Nation label. Jigga insisted then that his goal was to “reintroduce magic to hip-hop,” and a year and a half later, the God MC is still excited by the New Orleans rapping wizard.

Electronica has long hyped his official debut, Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn), with gleeful tweets, sending periodic updates on the LP’s progress. In March he messaged fans, stating that the wait was finally over and the album was complete, though he made no reference to any release date. “Dear Believers and Patient Supporters. Thank you for your patience and support. The Album will be turned in Tomorrow evening. The wait ends,” he tweeted.

Still, when it comes to the “Exhibit C” rapper’s sporadic music-release patterns, there is no telling. In April he dropped “Dear Moleskine.” Before that, in October 2011, it was the Prodigy-assisted “Call of Duty”, and before that, back in November 2010, there was “Shiny Suit Theory.” It’s not a pace traditionally suited for today’s rap race.

But Jay-Z assures us that there is an album and that it’s pretty damn good, if he does say so himself. “It’s exactly what it should be — it’s amazing. Him as a lyricist is almost scary. He’s scary good,” Jigga gushed. “I’m doing something to it that’s really untraditional, so we’ll see how it works.”

LeAnn Rimes’ uneasy relationship with Brandi Glanville has been well established, but new reports have shed light on just how uneasy things once were.

Glanville, now a star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, made other threats so serious that Rimes seriously considered getting a restraining order.

Rimes, now married to Glanville’s ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, began an affair with Eddie while he and Brandi were married. This did not go over well.

“Brandi has told LeAnn to her face multiple times that she would kill her if she could,” a source close told Celebuzz of the bad blood that boiled.

Should LeAnn be scared for her safety? Even now?

“LeAnn is scared of Brandi and believes she is unstable. LeAnn’s own mother is concerned for her daughter’s safety too and regularly calls her to tell her so.”

In an interview with Australia’s NW magazine, Brandi Glanville recalled how she flew into a rage the first time she saw Rimes at her son’s soccer game.

“I remember walking up to practice and there she was with my baby in her lap,” Brandi said. “My blood was boiling, and I thought I was going to kill her.”

“I really thought I was going to physically hurt her.”

“But that was the first time I saw her that way – she was sitting in my soccer chair, under my tent, she’s got my kid on her lap and she’s there with my husband, and that was that little moment of total irrational fury.”

Despite taking to Twitter Monday to declare “the articles online are incorrect,” Brandi has gone public about the brash, murderous feelings before.

Fuelling Rimes’ fears, in an interview with Mix XM’s Hot Moms Club Radio on April 28 2011, Glanville admitted, “The first time I saw my baby sitting in her (LeAnn’s) lap, I wanted to kill her… I wanted to murder her.”

Well … at least Glanville’s honest and doesn’t own any firearms. Probably.

She also slashed Eddie Cibrian’s tires at one point, then admitted it. Glanville was married to Cibrian for eight years before they split in 2009.
